Naltrexone, available at Bothell’s Anderson Natural Medicine, is a medication that increases the body’s production of endorphins for pain relief, decreases inflammatory cytokines, and increases antiinflammatory cytokines, as well as regulates healing processes. Historically, the medication has been used in doses of 50 to 100mg for opioid addiction, but it is becoming more commonly used in low doses for natural pain relief and immune system modulation.
